"One of the most beautiful compensations of life is that no one can sincerely try to help another without helping himself. "

Are you interested in becoming a group or one on one facilitator? At Bereaved Families of Ontario – Midwestern Region, we know that facilitators are an integral part of our organization, without them we would not be able to offer the support we do. Many people find that after they have experienced the death of a loved one they feel a great need to give back. According to William Worden this is one of the tasks of grieving where the bereaved reinvest the energy they once used grieving into a worthwhile cause.

The need to give back and help others through their journey of grief is often expressed by members of BFO-MR. Questions about how to get started and what it looks like can sometimes hold people back from taking the training.

To read an interview with one of our facilitators, Marnie Gerster, please Click Here. Marnie gives an indepth viewpoint of how rewarding her facilitating experience has been.
