Tree of Bright Stars

The Tree of Bright Stars is a caring, comforting memorial where we can share our grief and acknowledge that for most of us, Christmas will never be the happy event it used to be, since the loss of our loved one.

This year's Tree of Bright Stars will be held on Friday, November 27, 2009.

Join us at the Grandview Baptist Church, 250 Old Chicopee Drive, Kitchener. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. This memorial event offers individuals and families in the Midwestern Region a touching and visible way to remember their loved ones who have died.

Participants are invited to dedicate a personalized, stained glass star in memory of their loved one. These stained glass stars are made by the survivors of the Brain Injury Association of Waterloo Wellington.

The Community is also invited to attend our dedication service where they can place their star on the tree during the ceremony. All stars will be available to take home after the ceremony.

This a non-religious service with a special musical interlude that creates a quiet, uplifting time to share in the fellowship of friends and family.

We also offer the families a free, supervised nursery and play areas for those who wish to use it.

All funds raised remain in our community to support the work of Bereaved Families of Ontario - Midwestern Region.

Coming to terms with grief allows us to honour our loved ones. To dedicate a star please contact our office at 519-603-0196 or click the below links to print out a dedication brochure.
